Kevin Peacock, affectionately known as "KP," departed this life on November 14, 2025, in Wake Village, Texas, at the age of 39. Born on February 11, 1986, in Forrest City, Arkansas, he was the cherished son of Cecil and Mable Peacock. A proud graduate of Forrest City High School, he would go on to pursue his passion for service by earning a degree in Funeral Services and Mortuary Science from the University of Arkansas at Hope.
Kevin embarked on a meaningful career as a Funeral Director, dedicating his life to serving families in their times of need at various funeral homes throughout his journey. His commitment and compassion culminated in his role as General Manager of Four States Funeral Home, a position he held with grace until his divine calling.
A man of faith, KP's love for Jesus was evident in his active participation at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church, where he was baptized in his youth. Known for his warm and welcoming spirit, Kevin thrived in the community, always eager to uplift those around him. His profound passion for music was expressed through his talents on the alto saxophone, piano, keyboard, and organ. For over 15 years, he served as the Minister of Music at St. James Baptist Church, where he inspired countless young souls, nurturing their musical talents and sharing in the joy of new songs. Under the guidance of esteemed Pastors Larry Jordan and Kenneth Reid, Kevin was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel and continued to share his musical gifts at Mount Grove Baptist Church.
A gifted musician deeply immersed in Gospel music, Kevin collaborated with numerous choirs, including the Texarkana chapter of GMWA, the Texas Mass Choir, The Frankie Andrews Concert Choir, and other beloved groups. He also founded the "Uniq Praize" gospel group, a testament to his dedication to his craft and faith.
Kevin is preceded in death by his brother, Cecil (CO) Peacock, and his paternal and maternal grandparents. He leaves behind a loving family, including his devoted mother, Mable Peacock; father, Cecil Peacock; dear sisters, Oni Perkins and Kisa Sisk; and brother, William Stagell. Kevin is also remembered fondly by a multitude of aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins, along with his cherished godson, Grayson and Markise of Texarkana, Texas.
As we bid farewell to KP, we remember him not only for his remarkable talents and unwavering faith but also for the light he brought into the lives of others. His legacy will endure in the hearts of those he touched, a continuing source of strength and inspiration for family, friends, and the community he served so diligently.
