James Ellis Raines

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of James Ellis Raines, on April 27, 2026, at the age of 63. James was born on January 25, 1963, in Nacogdoches, TX, and led a life filled with hands-on work and good old-fashioned grit. James was a dedicated diesel mechanic, where he made a name for himself with his exceptional skills. His talent and commitment to his work spoke volumes. He could always be relied on to lend a hand, whether it was fixing a car or sharing a hearty laugh with friends and family.James is survived by his beloved daughter, Jennifer Newman, who will carry forward his legacy and the memories they shared and his Life partner Junita Stinson.In honor of James’ life, a memorial service will be held in the on Sunday May 24, 2026 at 1:00, allowing friends and family to gather and celebrate the remarkable man he was.

James may be gone from this world, but his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he loved. We invite all who knew him to join us in remembering the joy, laughter, and kindness he brought to our lives.
