Danny Sanders

Danny Earl Sanders departed this earthly life peacefully in his home in Texarkana, AR on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born on December 22, 1955, in Wilton, AR to his late parents, Wille Ed and Christine Sanders. Danny was a proud graduate of Ashdown High School where he loved track and field. He later returned to Cossatot Community College to earn different certifications that would help in his future career at Georgia Pacific/Domtar. Danny faithfully worked for Georgia Pacific later to become Domtar for 34 years and later retired in 2011. He was then able to enjoy the fruits of his labor even more. He enjoyed spending time with his many friends and family, especially his daughter Tanesia, grandchildren,and great-grandchildren. He had a great interest and love for cars, enjoyed attending sporting events, shooting pool, and traveling with his wife. Danny married Bettye Owens-Sanders in 1993, and they enjoyed a life of matrimony until his demise. They spent over 36 years together building a very rich and full life and legacy. A man of faith, Danny served as a deacon at the Mount Grove Baptist Church for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Security Ministry and Board of Trustees. He enjoyed serving God’s people. He took pride in visiting the sick and helping in any capacity that he could to advance God’s Kingdom. Danny served faithfully at the Mount Grove Baptist Church until his health began to fail. 

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Ed Sr. and Christine Sanders, sister, Mary Dean Ellis, brothers, Wille Ed Jr. and Kevin Sanders.Those left to cherish his memory: Wife Bettye Owens-Sanders; Daughter Tanesia Sanders Noel (Jeremy); Sons Nayland and Darron Sanders; Brother Jimmy Sanders (Barbara); Special cousin/friend Danny K Hooks; Stepdaughters Shaketha Richardson (Errick) Kenya Philips and Stephanie Jones; Bonus Son Willie T. Lewis; Grandchildren KaSharie Sanders, Kaden Stuart, NeComa Sanders, Keaylon Sanders; Kahlen Simpson, Mikayla Crenshaw, Ella Noel, Nayland Sanders Jr.; DeVaughn Sanders, Jalan Benaett, and Christian Richardson;  Great Grandchildren Donte Sanders, Kenzie Sanders, Lathan Simpson, Liam Simmpson, ; Kameron Richardson, Langston Richardson, Aiden Benaett, Halle Jo Sanders, Beckham Sanders, and Sterling Stuart.

Danny is also remembered fondly by a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family
