Early Life and Family
Born on April 22,1976 in Texarkana, Texas, Chamica grew up surrounded by love and
support. She accepted Christ at an early age where she was a member of Sunset
Missionary Baptist Church, Texarkana, TX. Chamica is a current member of Calvary
Christian Church, Texarkana, TX. She graduated from Texas High School, Class of
1994. She attended Southern Arkansas University -Magnolia where she earned a
bachelor’s degree, became a sorority member of Alpha Angels.
She leaves her memories to cherish to her longtime partner Marcus Turner, her only
son Damien Hamilton, father Marion L Lewis (Texarkana, TX), Grandmother Mildred L.
Hamilton (Texarkana, TX), Aunts- Clemie Jackson, Nikia Hamilton, Trisha (Kenneth)
Hamilton, and Kathy (Fred) Hamilton all of Texarkana, TX, and Patricia (Bobby)
Randolph of Ennis, TX. Uncles- Randy Wrightner, Gerald Hamilton, Cedrick Hamilton all
of Texarkana, TX, and Terrance ( Myekye) Hamilton of Lewisville, TX. Sisters- Shaunta
(Adrian) Tate of Wake Village, TX, Ashley (John) Crossland of Texarkana, TX, Ta’Shalon
Parker of Texarkana, TX, and Robin Lowe of New Boston, TX. Brothers- Derrick
(Christina) Stoker, Marion (Sarah) Watson, Vincent (LaTressa) Lewis all of Texarkana,
TX, Dallas Lewis of Rockwall, TX, and Darion (Kailyn) Lewis of Dallas, TX, and a host
relatives and friends.
Chamica is preceded in death by her Mother Debra K Hamilton, Grandmother Christine
R. Lewis, Grandfathers R.T. Lewis and Robert L. Hamilton Sr., Aunt Cheryl Hamilton,
and Uncle Robert L. Hamilton, Jr.
Career and Accomplishments
Chamica worked for The Texas Workforce where she was known for her dedication,
integrity, and kindness. She made a lasting impact on colleagues and the wider
community, always striving to help others and improve the lives of those around her.
Legacy and Remembrance
Chamica loved being around family, singing, keeping her hair done, and lately taking
cruises. She was a beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, and
friend. Chamica will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit,
and spreading love. We will miss her cooking fish, singing Keith Sweat and Mariah
Carey, wisdom, dancing, and the calming but straight forward personality. She brought
joy to everyone she met and leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and
inspiration.
Final Words
Chamica “Mica” Hamilton will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May she rest in
peace, comforted by the love she gave and received throughout her life.
