Cedric “Ceddy B” Mathis

In loving memory of Cedric “Ceddy B” Mathis, a cherished soul whose presence touched the hearts of many. Born in the city of Texarkana, Texas, Cedric embraced life with passion and purpose. From an early age, his rhythm found expression through the drums at Grandview Church of God in Christ, where his youthful spirit resonated in music and faith.

A devoted entrepreneur, Cedric was a man of vision and determination. He triumphed through life’s challenges and celebrated its joys, always placing family at the center of his world. A proud graduate of Texas High School’s Class of 2002, he carried with him the values and strength instilled in him from childhood.

Above all, Cedric was a loving father to his daughters, Carmen, Ceddrika, and C’Asia Mathis, guiding them with unwavering devotion. Alongside his beloved partner, Yarshekia Ellis, he built a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. His sister, Alysia Mathis, and brother, Thomas Rochelle III, stood by his side, as did his nephew, Alonzus Tyous Jr., and a host of family and friends who were the heartbeat of his life.

Cedric was preceded in death by his  parents, Shelia M. Mathis and Thomas Rochelle Jr., whose legacies lived on through him.

Though Cedric’s journey was too brief, the impact of his life is profound and enduring. He was a beacon of love, faith, and dedication—a vibrant presence that will forever echo in the hearts of those he loved so dearly.
